The week of Italian cuisine in the world is a comprehensive initiative that aims to promote Italian gastronomy abroad, through the creation of targeted events by embassies, consulates and cultural institutions. From 2016 until today, over 8000 events have been held with training seminars and product demonstrations as well as meetings with chefs.
The 7th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World was celebrated again this year at the Italian Embassy in Athens on November 14 with the theme: “Well-being, sustainability and innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for the health of people and the protection of the planet”. A theme that represents a moment of reflection on the Mediterranean diet as a healthy, balanced and sustainable eating model.
The event could not miss the tasting of the products and highlight the success of chef Marco Serra, bringing products made in Italy to the table.
Pinsa, genuine carbonara, parmesan and prosciutto, gnocchi and arancini, as well as fresh pasta made in front of the guests of the Italian Embassy, were just some of the tastes offered to those present at the established celebration.
With its participation, as every year, Global Foods brought to the buffet exquisite Italian products that it imports exclusively and presented to the public flavors and aromas with specialized characteristics. For this particular evening, quality products with guarantees for their production, processing and geographical origin were chosen to be presented.
